Lt Colonel Henry H Peck of New Haven Ct, Served with the 12th Connecticut from 1/62-9/64 when he was killed during the battle of Winchester Va, the regiment serving in the Louisiana theatre the regiment fighting at Georgia Landing and Bayou Teche during that time. The regiment saw heavy fighting at Port Hudson and the Valley campaign of 1864 in the 18th Corps. Peck was also Wounded at Port Hudson on 5.28/63. Breveted Brigadier General on 9/19/64 posthumously.
